¼ strength latte, soy milk, extra hot, take away thanks.
As I sit in the café and listen to the most personalised of orders, I consider the current preferences of the modern day coffee lover. It is hard to believe for somehow we have become accustomed to our ability to tailor our food, drinks, fashion, basically anything to our unique preferences and taste. With that in mind I questioned why we don’t always make use of our preferences and powers at hand to manipulate and mould our financials to our underlying wishes?
These days we are blessed with access to options and advice that many of our parents and grandparents never had. In recent times we have seen an explosion in social awareness and philanthropic styled investments. While these can be attractive to some, we also have a plethora of options at our command with investment into niche markets such as electric cars, medicinal marijuana and other trending ‘commodities’ such as cryptocurrency. While not always a financial advisers preference and recommendation, why not ask the question and invest with your inclinations in mind? Not only can you invest in something you have an interest and passion for, but it makes the monotony of superannuation and investing a lot more personalised and captivating.
With the power back in your hand (if you choose to take it!) and options available to make your own mark, maybe it’s time to consider where you want to be embedding your financials into the community and building not only your wealth but building the world around us. While this may not have been a consideration to those before us, the awareness and desire to impact the causes you believe in has never been more accessible. We are now not only tailoring our clients financials to afford them financial freedom and goal reaching, but to do that in a way that aligns with their personal values and beliefs.
Are you concerned about where your super or other assets are being invested, or just have a general interest? Don’t sit back and ponder, ask the question and make some decisions that you can have comfort with!
