I’m in the same boat as many women out there, without any super following a marriage break down and yes, I did work part time from time to time but I was ignorant about super and left the little I had to be eaten up by insurance premiums, so I assumed there was nothing really a financial planner could do for me and I was embarrassed to speak with one.
I finally got the courage and did speak with a planner and now I feel much better about my future. It’s true, I won’t have millions when I retire (unless I win tattslotto) but I now have a plan and the opportunity to make the money I do have grow.
